22, 2005 We are well aware that some of the best read stories on
SeniorJournal.com are about new ways to slow aging - in particular, new
innovations to keep our faces looking young. The hottest new products to
get our attention are over-the-counter creams for removing wrinkles that
contain a group of amino acids called pentapeptides. There is not yet
a lot of information available but we found some promotion and a video
produced for Proctor & Gamble that says this really works.
Every year, Americans spend billions of dollars in
this fight against wrinkles. But this latest anti-aging technology can
be found in local drugstores for less than twenty dollars.
These days, invasive cosmetic procedures are being
put under the microscope -- and the results aren't pretty. More and more
cases of serious side effects are being reported. As a result, consumers
are searching for safer methods to fight signs of aging. Now, creams
with powerful anti-aging ingredients are proving to be effective, less
costly and non-invasive, says the Proctor & Gamble press release.

This new discovery of the group of amino acids
called "pentapeptides," was an accident, they say. The discovery was
made accidentally by scientists researching cells that could heal
wounds. Now, they're proving a powerful weapon to fight aging skin,
says P&G.
They work by renewing the skin's outermost layer
-- revealing smoother, younger-looking skin. Doctors recommend using a
cream with pentapeptides daily to help combat lines. They can be found
over-the-counter in products like Strivectin and the less expensive Olay
Regenerist, says the release.
So, there is the news you can use Olay Regenerist
or Strivectin will clear your wrinkles using pentaeptides. Well, if they
dont clear all your wrinkles, you can at least use your knowledge and
experience for some interesting conversation. And, toss around this new
buzz word, "pentaeptides."
